Suffers serious ankle injury

Pierotti fractured the medial malleolus in his right ankle in training, Lecce announced.

Analysis: Pierotti is primed to spend several weeks on the mend while the bone heals. The team didn't disclose whether he'll undergo surgery or if he will recover naturally. Konan N'Dri and Joel Monteiro will enjoy an uptick in minutes for the foreseeable future.

Subdued outing in Roma contest

Pierotti generated one shot (one on goal), one interception and one chance created and won one of three tackles in Monday's 4-0 loss against Roma.

Analysis: Pierotti managed to put up small numbers across the board but didn't get a lot going on offense. He has posted three tackles in consecutive matches despite his role, winning three of them and also recording three shots (two on target), two chances created and two interceptions.
