Scores penalty
Picault scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 3-1 defeat versus Inter Miami CF.
Analysis: Picault was only on the field for eight minutes Saturday, appearing from a bench role for a seventh straight appearance on the team sheet since Breel Embolo joined. However, Picault would still be on the field long enough to score, converting a penalty in the 89th minute. He now has four goals this season in 21 appearances, tied for the third-most goals on the team.
Back from national team
Picault took part in Atlanta's training session Thursday after his participation with Haiti during the international window.
Analysis: Picault was rather busy over the break, scoring one goal across four CONCACAF Nations League games. That involvement should help him gain confidence after slowing down in league play over the last few weeks prior to the break. He's expected to be in contention with Breel Embolo, Aleksey Miranchuk and Miguel Almiron for attacking spots, though possibly limited to minutes off the bench in the near future. In that case, Picault will look to make the most of his opportunities to Increase his tallies of three goals and one assist over 18 appearances (eight starts) in the 2026 MLS campaign.
