Helps Frankfurt to clean sheet
Koch made four interceptions, three tackles and 11 clearances during Friday's 1-0 win over Koln.
Analysis: Koch was a part of the Frankurt back line that kept a clean sheet Friday leading his side in interceptions and clearances. The defender has combined for four tackles, five interceptions and 24 clearances over his last three starts.
Keeps starting spot and captaincy
Koch will start Friday's Bundesliga clash against FC Koln and retain the captaincy despite being substituted at halftime against RB Leipzig, according to coach Adi Hutter. "Robin will play on Friday and remain captain. There is no discussion about that."
Analysis: Koch was withdrawn at halftime during Frankfurt's 6-0 defeat to RB Leipzig following a disappointing defensive performance. However, manager Adi Hutter has publicly backed the center-back and confirmed that he will retain both his starting position and captaincy against Koln. The coach held several discussions with Koch following the defeat and emphasized that the substitution was performance-related rather than a change in his leadership role. Koch remains a key figure in Frankfurt's defense despite his recent struggles.
