Assists in draw
Makengo assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Eintracht Frankfurt.
Analysis: Makengo provided one assist during Saturday's draw making the most of his lone chance created during the clash. The defender is a solid option but he's not going to be a major offensive threat in some tougher matches. Makengo still does offer some upside, though he needs to be efficient with limited chances.
Sets up one of five goals
Makengo had an assist with his lone chance created while taking one shot (on goal), crossing once inaccurately, blocking two shots and making three interceptions during Saturday's 5-0 win over Gladbach.
Analysis: Makengo set up Igor Matanovic in the 77th minute while leading Freiburg in blocks and interceptions. The assist was the first goal involvement this season, matching all of last season's total, as Makengo has combined for two chances created, four crosses, four interceptions and 10 clearances through the opening three matches of the season.
