Nets stoppage-time game-winner
Diallo scored one goal to go with two shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Ecuador.
Analysis: Diallo came off the bench but changed the game for the Elephants, as his lightning-quick pace and skill caused plenty of problems for the opposing defense. Diallo found himself at the end of a cross from Wilfried Singo to score the lone goal of the match. It wouldn't be surprising if Diallo moves to the starting lineup for Ivory Coast's next game against Germany on Saturday.
One to watch for Ivory Coast
Diallo has been named in Ivory Coast's World Cup squad and is expected to be one of the most dynamic attacking options at manager Fae's disposal on the right flank throughout the competition.
Analysis: Diallo ended the season having made 32 Premier League appearances for Manchester United, contributing two goals and four assists after signing a new long-term contract at Old Trafford that reflects his growing importance to the club. The youngster's pace, direct running and prolific creative output have made him one of the most exciting wide players in English football this season, and his end product makes him a genuine match-winner for Ivory Coast. Diallo heads into the World Cup as one of the most anticipated young attackers in the tournament and will be key for the Elephants as he is the main set piece taker of the squad.
