Returns to squad against Lugano
Azon (undisclosed) is back in Getafe's matchday squad for Thursday's Conference League clash against Lugano after recovering from a recent injury.
Analysis: Azon returns to Getafe's matchday squad after missing the Conference League encounter against Universitatea Craiova and Monday's La Liga draw against Rayo Vallecano due to discomfort. The striker resumed full team training Wednesday and is now available for selection, although his recent absence could see him eased back into action off the bench. He has recorded one goal and one assist across five appearances this season, including four starts, and could compete with Borja Mayoral for playing time up front. His return provides Getafe with an additional attacking option ahead of Sunday's La Liga clash against Athletic Club.
Returns to full team training
Azon (undisclosed) resumed full team training Wednesday after missing Getafe's last two matches, according to Gemma Santos.
Analysis: Azon has recovered sufficiently to complete Wednesday's training session without restrictions after missing the Conference League encounter against Universitatea Craiova and Monday's La Liga draw against Rayo Vallecano due to discomfort. His return provides Getafe with an additional attacking option ahead of a busy schedule, with Thursday's European fixture followed by Sunday's league clash against Athletic Club. The striker has recorded one goal and one assist across five appearances this season, including four starts, establishing himself as a regular contributor in attack. Azon could compete with Borja Mayoral for a starting role, although his recent absence may lead to a cautious approach regarding his playing time.
