Analysis: Franklin went down last contest with a shoulder injury and will now miss some time with the injury, as he has been ruled out for a few weeks. With only a few weeks left in the season, it is unknown if he will return ahead of the end of the campaign. With Toronto on the brink of making the playoffs in the final push of the season, this is a rough loss for the club, although he has been unused a lot recently. Richie Laryea and Matheus Pereira will likely continue as full-backs with Franklin out.
Leaves match with shoulder injury
Franklin was forced off with a shoulder issue in the first half of Saturday's match against the Red Bulls, Waking the Red reports.
Analysis: Franklin was making a rare start after being an unused substitute for most of the last couple of months, but he suffered the injury early in the game. The forced exit puts Franklin's status into focus ahead of upcoming contests.
