Analysis: Rios Novo made some big stops on the night, but also had a howler where he was caught in no man's land on Nashville's last goal. Regardless, he seems to have a firm grip on the starting job and will look to help Miami right the ship at Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Concedes twice in draw
Rios Novo recorded two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Columbus Crew.
Analysis: Rios Novo made his third consecutive start Saturday and conceded a pair of goals to the Crew. The first was an own goal by Casemiro in the 34th minute, and then Columbus debutant Brais Mendes scored a free kick in the 84th minute to steal away the draw. Next up is a crucial top of the table matchup at Nashville SC, a side which has scored 35 goals through 18 matches this season.
