Analysis: Orlando City went from a one-striker formation to a two-striker formation Saturday to accommodate Dike as a strike partner to new target man Antoine Griezmann. Following the Frenchman was Dike, who logged his first MLS goal Saturday. Dike's role remains unclear, but he has given food for thought to the concept of him partnering with Griezmann on a regular basis.
Returns to Orlando City SC
Dike signed a contract with Orlando City on Friday. The deal goes through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season and also includes a club option for the 2027/28 campaign.
Analysis: Dike spent the last four seasons at West Bromwich, but injuries often slowed him down and limited him to just 11 goals across 64 appearances between league and FA Cup play. He should form a productive attacking line alongside Antoine Griezmann, another new signing, and Croatia international Marco Pasalic.
