Zeno Debast

Belgium defender Zeno Debast is at the centre of a disagreement between his national team and club side Sporting CP and appears set to miss their World Cup quarter-final against Spain on Friday. The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) said in a statement on Thursday that Sporting have declared Debast unfit, claiming the Portuguese club had told the 22-year-old he was not ready to feature in Los Angeles — an assessment which they said “differs from that of (our) medical staff”.
