Back in midfield mix
Triantis is available for Minnesota United's MLS clash against Houston Dynamo on Saturday after returning from international duty with Greece and being omitted from the league's latest injury report.
Analysis: Triantis missed the matchup against Seattle Sounders while representing Greece during the international break but is now back in contention for selection. The midfielder was a regular starter early in the campaign but has since seen his role diminish, making just one start across Minnesota's previous six MLS matches. Despite his return, Triantis is likely to remain a rotational option against Houston, with a role off the bench more likely than an immediate return to the starting XI.
Heading out with NT
Triantis has been called up by Greece for the four matches during the September-October international break and will therefore miss Saturday's clash against Seattle.
Analysis: Triantis was a regular starter for Minnesota at the beginning of the campaign but has started only one game in the last six MLS games, therefore his absence against the Sounders will not impact the starting XI. He should return in time to face Houston on October 10 and provide help from the bench.
