Alvarado scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 win against FC Dallas.
Analysis: Alvarado netted brilliantly from long range in the 50th minute assisted by Manu Duah and the goal was enough to secure all three points for San Diego. Alvarado recorded 100 touches and also contributed defensively with five tackles and an interception. This was his first start of the campaign and he marked it with his very first MLS goal.
On bench versus Houston
Alvarado (knee) is on the bench for Wednesday's meeting with Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: Alvarado will look to make his 2026 season debut following his absence due to the injury. However, he's unlikely to get meaningful minutes for now given that he's returning from a lengthy recovery. The midfielder may eventually challenge Onni Valakari and Jeppe Tverskov in central spots.
