Could miss Atlanta matchup
Craig (undisclosed) missed Monday's training session after starting Montreal's last two matches, leaving his availability for Wednesday's MLS clash against Atlanta United uncertain, according to Maxime Truman.
Analysis: Craig missed Monday's team training session after starting Montreal's last two matches in central defense, putting his availability against Atlanta in doubt. The defender has recorded seven tackles, eight interceptions and 38 clearances across 14 MLS appearances this season, recently earning a more prominent role in the starting lineup. If Craig is unable to feature Wednesday, Efrain Morales could step into the starting XI to provide cover in central defense.
Substitute option versus D.C. United
Craig (undisclosed) is on the bench in Saturday's meeting with D.C. United.
Analysis: Craig has avoided an absence after abandoning Wednesday's training session, but his value is significantly reduced as a depth center-back asset. Both Jalen Neal and Brayan Vera will get the nod instead, with Craig's participation depending on whether one of those teammates is given rest at some point in upcoming fixtures.
Does not finish session
Craig did not complete Wednesday's training session, leaving the field early for an undisclosed reason, Nilton Jorge of Couscous Piri Piri reports.
Analysis: Craig did not complete Wednesday's training session, leaving the field early for reasons that have not yet been made clear, and if it does turn out to be injury related, it would be another blow for a CF Montreal back line already dealing with Efrain Morales' expected absence. Brayan Vera also failed to finish the same session, and with both center backs cutting training short on the same day, it opens a realistic path for Brayan Ceballos to get his first minutes for the club at center back. Until the club provides more clarity on Craig's status, this situation is worth monitoring rather than treating as confirmed.
