Returns to face former club
Wolff (quadriceps) is among the substitutes for the weekend's matchup against Austin FC.
Analysis: Wolff will see his first chance to log minutes of play since Sept. 27 in a meeting with the club he represented for several seasons before moving to Kansas City in August. While he has played just 38 MLS minutes for SKC, his attacking impact could come in handy if he replaces eitherCapita Capemba or Zorhan Bassong at some point.

Analysis: Wolff has made just four starts and 10 appearances this season, so his absence shouldn't cause a lot of issues from a fantasy perspective. The midfielder should remain in a bench role even when he's ready to return to the side.
Late decision due to injury

Wolff has been acquired by Sporting Kansas City from Austin FC, the club announced.
Analysis: Wolff's 2026 season has been disrupted by injuries, limiting him to just eight appearances for Austin after a breakout 2025 campaign in which he posted seven goals and 12 assists across all competitions to earn Austin's Offensive Player of the Year award. He came through the Columbus Crew and Atlanta United academies before signing as a Homegrown Player with Austin in 2021. Sporting KC gets a versatile midfielder with proven MLS production, though he has missed the last three games with an ankle injury and it remains to be seen when he can make his debut for Kansas City. He will first need to put his injury-hit 2026 behind him to recapture the form that made him one of the league's top young players.

Wolff is out for Sunday's game against FC Dallas due to an ankle injury.
