First goal contribution of season
Gerbet assisted once to go with one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Wednesday's 3-2 victory against Atlanta United.
Analysis: Gerbet earned a third straight start for Orlando on Wednesday, his fourth start in their past six games following an injury that hindered him for much of the season. He would use his time on the field well as he earned his first goal contribution of the season, assisting on Antoine Griezmann's 26th-minute goal. He will look to earn another goal contribution this season in the final games of the regular season, as he only earned one goal contribution all of last campaign as well.
Back in Leagues Cup match
Gerbet (knee) played 24 minutes during Saturday's Leagues Cup clash against Leon.
Analysis: Gerbet had been out for the entire first half of the 2026 MLS season before finally leaving his injury troubles behind. The midfielder may still require a few weeks to become a viable starter following his recovery from ACL surgery, but the fact that he already got minutes on the pitch is an encouraging sign. He may be used in a central midfield rotation alongside Eduard Atuesta, Luis Otavio and Wilder Cartagena going forward.
Limited to ball work
Gerbert (knee) has been limited to just minor ball work on the pitch following his ACL surgery, per Mike Gramajo of WESH.
Analysis: Gerbet has still not made his 2026 debut, and his chances of returning before the season ends remain slim. He has only been spotted doing very limited ball work, indicating that he may be several months away from action given the typical ACL recovery timeline of 9-12 months.
