Conte assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal), three crosses (two accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 3-2 loss to 1. FC Koln.
Analysis: Conte made his first Bundesliga start Saturday after multiple seasons as a squad player or out on loan from Hoffenheim. It was an excellent start to the season from him as he assisted Adam Daghim's opener in the 27th minute. It was one of three chances he created and he also recorded two accurate crosses and two off-target shots. He completed the full 90 minutes, establishing a prominent role early in the season.
Extends contract at Hoffenheim
Conte signed a long term contract extension with Hoffenheim after returning from a loan spell at Elversberg, the club announced.
Analysis: Conte made 25 appearances for Elversberg last season, scoring four goals and adding six assists as the club earned promotion to the Bundesliga, and he also featured twice in the DFB Pokal. The forward previously spent a season on loan at Karlsruher, making 29 appearances across all competitions. He made seven Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim's first team during the 2023-24 season and has also represented Germany at the U20 level. Conte is expected to compete for a regular role in Hoffenheim's squad as the club looks to build on his development through multiple loan spells.
