Off injury report
Anello (groin) is not listed on the MLS availability report and should be available for this weekend's game against Charlotte.
Analysis: Anello sat out the last two games with an adductor problem, but his absence from the availability report points to him being ready to return to the squad this weekend. Anello has worked mainly as an impact option off the bench for the Union, and while getting back to full fitness should put him back in the mix, he is likely to remain a depth piece.
Suffers adductor discomfort
Anello is currently sidelined due to an adductor injury, per the MLS Player Status Report.
Analysis: Anello is still finding his footing at Philadelphia, but his frequent adductor problems have now kept him out for multiple matches. Adductor injuries carry a recurrence risk when a player returns too quickly, and the Union may not rush him back before the tissue has fully healed. Meanwhile, Indiana Vassilev should be expected to appear on the left wing.
