Starts at left-back
Lewis-Skelly recorded two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Everton. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 58th minute.
Analysis: Lewis-Skelly earned the starting assignment at left-back ahead of Riccardo Calafiori and delivered an energetic performance, contributing three successful tackles while regularly looking to advance down the flank. The versatile youngster continues to provide Arsenal with valuable flexibility, having demonstrated his ability to operate both in defense and central midfield. He has yet to register a goal or assist across six Premier League appearances this season, but his willingness to carry the ball forward and support attacking moves remains an important part of his game. Lewis-Skelly will continue competing with Calafiori and Piero Hincapie for minutes on the left side of defense.
Solid midfield display against Leeds
Lewis-Skelly delivered a steady midfield performance before being substituted during the second half of Saturday's win over Leeds United.
Analysis: Lewis-Skelly contributed effectively in midfield as he made four defensive contributions and two interceptions against Leeds United. He also won 75 per cent of ground duels and 100 per cent of aerial duels. Furthermore, the Englishman made four passes into the final third and six line-breaking passes. Bruno Guimaraes subsequently replaced him in the 63rd minute, with the Brazilian scoring the winner just seven minutes later.
