Set for foot surgery
Dillon will undergo surgery Wednesday for a fifth metatarsal injury, according to coach Pablo Mastroeni, per Salt City Soccer.
Analysis: Dillon had been forced off in the final moments of the first half during Saturday's match at St. Louis, with the issue now confirmed as a foot fracture requiring surgery, opening the door for Pablo Ruiz to continue stepping into a larger midfield role. The midfielder had recently gained increased involvement with a few starts in central midfield this season before the injury struck, and Dillon is expected to begin a lengthy recovery process following the procedure.
Forced off in draw
Dillon was unable to continue in Saturday's visit to St. Louis due to a physical issue.
Analysis: Dillon was replaced by Stijn Spierings after picking up a discomfort in the final moments of the first half Saturday. The young midfielder will be a major doubt for future fixtures, but the full severity of his issue is unclear. Although he's not an undisputed starter, he had recently gained increased involvement, making a few starts as a central midfielder in the 2026 MLS campaign.
