Gets late run in defeat
Rodriguez generated one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 5-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Analysis: Rodriguez recorded one off-target shot during an 18-minute appearance in Saturday's 5-1 loss to Chelsea. He replaced Marcus Tavernier in the 72nd minute with Bournemouth already four goals down, leaving him little opportunity to alter the direction of the match despite getting one attempt away. Rodriguez remains behind Evanilson in the center-forward pecking order and will likely continue seeing most of his opportunities from the bench while the Brazilian remains available.
Early season bench role
Rodriguez has appeared in two league matches from the bench this campaign.
Analysis: Rodriguez is still looking to carve out a bigger role with Bournemouth following his move to the club, as the forward has only earned time from the bench this season. He has played for 10 minutes in two appearances in league play while earning 19 minutes in UEL play, notching one shot in his minimal time on the field. The 22-year-old looks to be stuck in more of a reserve role, likely to only see value if injuries in the attack take place and he sees a boost in minutes.
