Available following international duty
Ocampo is absent from Vancouver Whitecaps' latest injury report ahead of Saturday's MLS meeting with LAFC, indicating he is available for selection following his international call-up with Colombia.
Analysis: Ocampo returns to contention after receiving his first senior international call-up with Colombia, which affected his availability during Vancouver's recent league fixtures. The right-back has established himself as a regular starter this season, contributing two goals, one assist, 52 tackles, 39 clearances and 25 interceptions across 23 MLS appearances, including 21 starts. His availability gives Vancouver the opportunity to restore its usual defensive setup against LAFC, with Ocampo expected to compete for a place in the starting lineup.
Linking up with Colombia
Ocampo has been called up by the Colombian national team for the upcoming international window between September and October.
Analysis: Ocampo has been called up by Los Cafeteros for the first time in his career, and this responds to a strong 2026 MLS season in which he's notched two goals, one assist, 52 tackles, 39 clearances and 25 interceptions across 23 appearances (21 starts). Colombia will play three matches during the break, so the right-back will miss the Sept. 26 match against D.C. United, and he's also a candidate to miss the trip to Chicago on Sept. 6 since Colombia also play that day. In that scenario, he'd be eligible to return against LAFC on Saturday, Oct. 10.
