Misses due to adductor issue
Amatucci missed Sunday's 1-1 draw against Real Betis due to workload management, according to coach Antonio Hidalgo. "Amat had what we talked about a bit regarding load management, a discomfort in the adductor that wasn't going to allow him to take part in the match, it doesn't seem serious, but with so little recovery time it was an unnecessary risk, with so much still ahead."
Analysis: Amatucci had been an ever presence in the midfield for Depor this season, contributing one assist, three chances created, 18 tackles and 17 clearances in six La Liga appearances. This precautionary absence does not appear to be serious, and his return should come once he has had sufficient time to recover during the international break.
Dominates in defensive duties
Amatucci had four tackles (three won), seven clearances and two interceptions in Sunday's 3-1 win against Valencia.
Analysis: Amatucci anchored the midfield with a defensively dominant performance, breaking up play and covering ground relentlessly. He touched every defensive category, totaling 15 defensive contributions with seven clearances, two blocks, two interceptions and four tackles (three won). The midfielder has now compiled eight tackles, 10 clearances and four blocks over his opening three games, with at least one contribution in every category each match.
