Sent off against Atletico
Huijsen was sent off in the 50th minute of Sunday's match against Atletico Madrid after conceding a penalty and will be suspended for at least the first match after the international break against Villarreal.
Analysis: Huijsen's red card leaves him unavailable for the clash with Villarreal following the international break after his challenge resulted in a penalty early in the second half against Atletico. The center-back will serve at least a one-match suspension, with his absence forcing a change to Real Madrid's regular defensive setup. Antonio Rudiger is expected to step into the starting XI alongside Ibrahima Konate in central defense while Huijsen serves his suspension.
Extra busy in Inter meeting
Huijsen recorded two tackles (one won), 12 clearances and one interception in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against Inter Milan.
Analysis: Huijsen did what he could to thwart several waves of attack, as Inter created a lot of chances despite scoring just one goal. He set a new season high in clearances. He has posted at least two in all his appearances thus far, piling up 32, adding seven interceptions, seven tackles (five won) and one block and contributing to one clean sheet.
