Three shots Saturday
Minoungou recorded three shots (two on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Saturday's 3-0 defeat versus Columbus Crew.
Analysis: Minoungou recorded two shots on target in his second straight match, but he still could not find his first goal of the campaign. He also failed to record an accurate cross or create a chance for the first time since July 26. He added one tackle in his full 90 minutes of action.
Struggles in service
Minoungou generated three shots (one on goal), nine crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 win versus Austin FC.
Analysis: While Minoungou was able to generate nine crosses, only one was deemed to be accurate in Colorado's 1-0 win. It's possible the attacker was a bit rusty after coming off the bench in the previous game but if he can be more efficient, he's set to turn that level of volume into an assist or two against Sporting KC. The side is last in the Western Conference in points and has allowed 46 goals so far this season.
Sets up equalizer
Minoungou assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-1 loss to FC Dallas.
Analysis: Minoungou set up Paxten Aaronson for the equalizer in the 13th minute. Minoungou completed 16 passes but also conceded a penalty. This was his second assist of the campaign. His next match will be in July, following the conclusion of the World Cup.
Fit for bench role Saturday
Minoungou (leg) is on the bench for Saturday's clash against Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: Minoungou should be an option to replace Darren Yapi on the left wing, having overcome a minor problem that put his participation in doubt prior to this game. In that case, Minoungou could make his eighth appearance of the campaign. While he has mostly struggled to produce when coming off the bench, he delivered his lone assist of the season during a 23-minute outing on April 12.
Dealing with leg issue
Minoungou is doubtful for Saturday's matchup versus Houston Dynamo with a leg injury, according to the league's latest injury report.
Analysis: Minoungou's injury is a concern, and his status will be monitored closely in the coming days. With Minoungou at risk of sitting out, Darren Yapi (undisclosed) could be selected on the left flank, but Alexis Manyoma will likely be ready to step in if needed. Minoungou's fantasy outlook is uncertain, and he may not have a huge upside even if he is able to play, having failed to score while providing one assist over seven appearances this season.
