Set for surgery
Farnos (leg/ankle) will undergo surgery for a left leg and ankle fracture, according to Scott Churchson of NYCFC.com.
Analysis: Given the severity of the injury, it's safe to say Farnos won't return to action in the rest of the 2026 MLS season. His absence shouldn't have a big impact in fantasy, however, as the 23-year-old striker has been limited to just eight appearances, two starts and 156 minutes of play this season.
Suffers injury in training
Farnos suffered an injury in training Wednesday, manager Pascal Jansen confirmed to journalists, including Robert Abramowitz of NYCFC En Espanol.
Analysis: The nature of the injury hasn't been revealed, but the early signs suggest it was severe. That shouldn't have a big impact in fantasy, however, as the 23-year-old striker has been limited to just eight appearances, two starts and 156 minutes of play this season.
