Ruled out against Belgium
Jacquet is out of France's lineup Monday against Belgium due to hamstring tightness, Jordan Pardon reports.
Analysis: Jacquet is being held out Monday as a precaution, but further tests will be needed to determine whether he'll be forced to miss time, as hamstring injuries are often tricky. With league play resuming in less than a week, there's a real question about his availability against Man City on Sunday. For now, he's expect to be fine, but if he can't go, Joe Gomez is seemingly next in line at center-back unless Ronald Araujo moves central.
Brilliant in win
Jacquet generated three tackles (one won), two clearances and two interceptions in Sunday's 1-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth.
Analysis: Jacquet looks like Liverpool's signing of the season in the early stages, he has filled in alongside Virgil van Dijk without the slightest drop off in performance. He's been brilliant in every match and earned his first man of the match award during the win. Jacquet seems to be Liverpool's long-term answers to their center-back position and has immediately become a club favorite.
