Trains fully, option moving forward
Gomis (lower leg) trained fully this week and is an option moving forward, the club posted.
Analysis: Gomis had returned to team training after leaving the France U21 squad early as a precaution following a knock suffered against Bayer Leverkusen, an issue described at the time as purely precautionary. His full week of training now confirms he has cleared that concern, positioning him to be available for Leipzig's next match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Oct. 10.
Resumes training with squad
Gomis (lower leg) returned to team training Tuesday after leaving the France U21 squad early as a precaution following a knock against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, according to the club training footage.
Analysis: Gomis was forced to leave the France U21 setup early after taking a knock to his lower leg in the defeat to Bayer 04 Leverkusen, though it was described as a precautionary measure rather than a confirmed longer-term absence. His return to team training with RB Leipzig is an encouraging development and suggests he has cleared the immediate concern. With the club's next match against Eintracht Frankfurt not until Oct. 10, he now has time to build back into normal work and should be available for that fixture barring any recurrence.
