First assist with Sociedad
Fort had an assist with his lone chance created while crossing once inaccurately during Sunday's 5-2 win over Malaga.
Analysis: Fort set up Take Kubo in the 3rd minute assisting the opening goal of the match. The assist and start were both the first in La Liga this season for Fort as he recently returned from a knee injury.
Cleared for return to action
Fort is available for Sunday's La Liga clash against Deportivo after recovering from his knee injury and returning to team training Friday, according to the club.
Analysis: Fort has made sufficient progress in his recovery to be cleared for selection, providing Real Sociedad with a timely boost following Jon Aramburu's absence due to a soleus injury. The right-back resumed training Friday and is now in contention to start against Deportivo, although his recent fitness concerns could influence his playing time. Fort has made one substitute appearance in La Liga and one Europa League start this season, so Aramburu's absence could provide him with an opportunity to establish himself in the starting XI. Even if he doesn't start Sunday, Fort should remain a leading candidate to fill the position in the coming matches.
