Returns to Barcelona from loan
Fort has returned to Barcelona after his season-long loan at Elche expired on June 30.
Analysis: Fort spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Elche after falling behind Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia in Barcelona's right-back pecking order, and he departed the club with a heartfelt farewell message thanking them for helping him become a better player. He's now back for pre-season, where there's some expectation that coach Hansi Flick could give him a look given the club's crowded right-back options, though Kounde, Eric Garcia, and now Xavi Espart all stand in his way of regular minutes. Analysis: Fort found the back of the net late in the first half with a shot that was deflected off an opposing defender, and that was Elche's first shot on target in the game. Set to return Wednesday
