Rare goal Saturday
Synchuk scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Seattle Sounders FC.
Analysis: The last time Synchuk scored a goal was off the bench on May 23, just before the World Cup. Immediately thereafter, the midfielder established himself as a regular starter for Seattle, registering 33 shots (13 on goal) and 12 chances created across as many appearances.
Back from U21 duty
Synchuk (international duty) is once again available for league play after serving for Ukraine's U21 squad in recent weeks.
Analysis: Synchuk should be considered at least for a bench role as he brings creativity on the right flank heading into the final regular-season stretch. Thus, the forward may compete with Dante Sealy and Noah Streit while challenging Wikelman Carmona and Alexis Sanchez for set pieces. Despite his respectable volume of shots and crosses, Synchuk has failed to find consistent scoring involvement this year.
