Signs with Fenerbahce
Oppong has completed a transfer to Fenerbahce from Nice, according to his former club.
Analysis: Oppong is off to Turkey as he ends his current stint in France, off to join Fenerbahce as they look to top the Turkish league again. The defender is coming off a decent season with Nice, where he started in 28 of his 29 appearances, recording five clean sheets along the way. However, he was phased out of the squad this season, likely to see more time with his new club.
Returns to club for preseason
Oppong is back in Nice for preseason training following the World Cup with Ghana, according to the club.
Analysis: Oppong made 34 appearances for Nice last season, his debut campaign after arriving from Norrkoping last July, and posted the highest duel win percentage on the team among players with at least 500 minutes at above 60 percent. He earned two caps off the bench for Ghana at the World Cup, and his return to club training now shifts focus to building on a strong first season in Ligue 1 heading into the new campaign under new coach Olivier Pantaloni.
