Analysis: Spicer was on the field for only 19 minutes Wednesday, entering from the bench as he has in their past four games. Unfortunately, he would do little in his time on the field outside of an own goal, giving Atlanta a late goal in stoppage time. He still has been a decent source of action from the bench for Orlando, notching six goals and one assist in 20 appearances (six starts).

Analysis: If the summer is any indication, it looks like Orlando City's team has a super-sub on its hands with Spicer. In the team's last six games, Spicer was a reserve four times and scored thrice, making the side a new level of threatening in the latter stages of games. So even if Spicer cannot work his way back into Orlando's starting XI, his substitute role may be enough to make him a meaningful option for the team.

Analysis: Spicer scored in his third straight outing Saturday, coming up with an important goal in the 48th minute which secured the draw. It was one of a season-high six shots he took in the match, but it was the only one he put on target. He also set a season-high with three chances created in just his fifth start of the season. He was subbed off in the 82nd minute for Daryl Dike.
Impactful as substitute

However, he'll remain in contention for playing time with current starters Eduard Atuesta and Braian Ojeda.

Analysis: Spicer is battling an injury and will head into the break, possibly missing some time, dealing with an ankle issue. He's a younger player working his way into more regular minutes for Orlando without established relevance at this stage. His absence would then be more of a loss of depth for the club.

Analysis: The fact that Spicer was spotted in training Friday is a good sign of his availability ahead of the upcoming game against DCU. However, a final call on his status will be made closer to Saturday's 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff. That said, Spicer has started in just three matches this season, so his potential return to the lineup shouldn't carry a lot of fantasy implications.
Absent due to illness
Spicer is unavailable for the midweek clash with Charlotte as he deals with an illness, Orlando City's digital content manager Austin David reports.
Analysis: Spicer has been replaced by youngster Justin Ellis for Wednesday's game and is likely to remain doubtful for subsequent fixtures. The versatile player missed a couple of games due to a thigh injury earlier in the season, limiting his participation to 196 minutes over five MLS appearances in 2026.
