Another goal off bench
Gomez scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal), three crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-1 draw against CF Montreal.
Analysis: Even if Gomez is not a starter for Seattle moving forward, it appears that he can establish a good role for himself by regularly coming off the Sounders' bench moving forward. Both of his goals this season have come in October and off the Sounders' bench.
Scores off bench Thursday
Gomez scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) in Thursday's 2-1 victory against Sporting Kansas City.
Analysis: Gomez subbed onto the pitch at halftime and didn't take long to make an impact, scoring in the 51st minute to level the score. It marked his first goal of the season and it was one of his three shots he took in the match. He also won one tackle and made two clearances in his 45 minutes of action.
First MLS goal involvement
Gomez had an assist while taking an off target shot, crossing once inaccurately, making five tackles and creating three chances during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Chicago.
Analysis: Gomez set up Dejan Joveljic in the 12th minute assisting the opening goal of the match while leading Seattle in chances created and tackles. The assist was the first MLS goal involvement for Gomez as he's made three straight starts compiling three shots, three chances created, crossing twice and making eight tackles.
