Ramos Jr. joined Sporting Kansas City on loan from Los Angeles Galaxy on Thursday. The deal will run until the end of the 2027 MLS Sprint season.
Analysis: Sporting KC decided to bolster their attack with two young players just before the transfer deadline, adding Ramos Jr. and also Seymour Garfield-Reid from NYCFC. Ramos Jr. scored his first pro goal this season, but he was limited to just six appearances (two starts) and 169 minutes in league play with the Galaxy. He should see a bit more playing time in a rebuilding SKC squad.

Analysis: Ramos Jr. scored a goal in 62 minutes during Saturday's draw with Montreal. It was his first start since April, as he has spent much of the season as an unused substitute, leaving him low on the Galaxy's midfield depth chart.
On bench Saturday
Ramos Jr. (international duty) is back as a bench option for Saturday's trip to Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: Ramos Jr. had a solid performance during the Under-20 CONCACAF Championship, scoring three goals over five appearances. While that momentum could help him push for an increased role in the remaining MLS regular-season fixtures, he's unlikely to earn significant time on the field with all of Robert Taylor, Joseph Paintsil and Kyogo Furuhashi favored over him and summer signing Hirving Lozano already available as well.
Away on international duty
Ramos Jr. is currently absent for his club due to international duty, the MLS reported Friday.
Analysis: Ramos Jr. is a young attacker developing within LA Galaxy's system, and his international call-up reflects his progress as a prospect. His absence adds modest depth concerns to a Galaxy attack already short of Joao Klauss (foot) and Erik Thommy (foot). Ramos Jr. should return available later in August.
