Retained by Manchester United

Kone will report back with Manchester United following a loan period at Lausanne-Sport, according to his parent club.

Analysis: Kone has yet to appear at the Premier League level, so he's likely to offer a depth option or play for the academy team if he stays on the squad for the upcoming campaign. Having previously stood out at youth international tournaments for Mali, the 20-year-old recorded just five matches played (one start) in the Swiss league last season.
