Starts versus LAFC
Sofo (thigh) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup against Los Angeles FC.
Analysis: Sofo will make his second straight start, having overcome a slight problem he picked up in his previous outing. The versatile attacker has been deployed in midfield lately, though his performance has been erratic given the lack of consistent playing time. In terms of goal contributions, he has scored and assisted once across 16 MLS appearances (three starts) in 2026.
Forced off in draw
Sofo picked up an apparent physical issue that led to his substitution in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Seattle Sounders.
Analysis: Sofo was treated both on and off the pitch before being ultimately replaced by Emil Forsberg in this game. The Ghanaian will need to be assessed during the week if he has sustained an important injury. Despite recording one assist over his last two appearances, he hasn't made a huge impact throughout the season, and a forced absence would further limit his chances of producing in the remaining fixtures. Regardless of his status, he'll likely make way for Forsberg to return to the lineup in the next game.
