Scores first of season
Jones scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 3-1 victory versus Chicago Fire.
Analysis: Jones made his third consecutive MLS start and scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's win over Chicago. After returning from two serious leg injuries that sidelined him for nearly two years, he initially served as a bench option but has steadily earned a larger role in the starting XI, espesially with the team's long list of injured players at the moment. The midfielder has started four of his eight appearances in 2026, logging 341 minutes while tallying 13 shots, five crosses, and eight tackles.
Starting midweek
Jones (shoulder) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's match against Columbus Crew.
Analysis: Jones is ready to play after dealing with an injury since late May, and he's making his third MLS start of the season. The forward has featured on the left wing but is still looking for his first goal or assist in 2026, racking up nine shots and one chance created over 217 minutes of play. He might not be a regular participant though, given that Hannes Wolf is also back from a chest issue and should be the first option at some point.
