Back from two match suspension

Sanabria has served his two match suspension and is set to return for the New England match on Saturday.

Analysis: Sanabria was given an additional one game suspension for his red card offensive against San Jose. He should be able to return to the starting XI in the midfield, starting the last five games in a row since the World Cup break.

Suspended again

Sanabria remains out for the weekend's visit to San Diego while he serves a multi-game ban, according to the league.

Analysis: Sanabria continues to serve his suspension, leaving the Galaxy without a reliable central midfield option. His absence adds to Elijah Wynder's (leg) injury, meaning Isaiah Parente could stay put alongside Justin Haak for the time being, with new signing Sergi Roberto likely joining the contention for minutes soon.

Clears suspension

Sanabria has served his one match suspension and will be an option for the trip to San Diego on Saturday.

Analysis: Sanabria returns to the Galaxy after serving a suspension for a red-card offense against San Jose. He has started the last five matches, recording 15 tackles, 10 interceptions and seven chances created during that span, which should see him back in the lineup for the Galaxy on Saturday.

Earns red card against San Jose

Sanabria received a red card in Wednesday's meeting with San Jose Earthquakes.

Analysis: Sanabria left his side with 10 men after being booked twice in the first half of the derby. This leaves the midfielder out of the weekend's trip to Montreal, in which Elijah Wynder (leg) might also be absent, potentially giving Isaiah Parente or new signing Sergi Roberto a chance to join Justin Haak in holding midfield. The Uruguayan, who has been a regular starter for most of the year, will look to regain his usual role on Aug. 28 at San Diego.

Unable to spark Galaxy

Sanabria had four shots (one on goal) and two chances created in Friday's 3-0 defeat to Los Angeles Football Club.

Analysis: Sanabria started and played the full 90 minutes in Friday's 3-0 El Trafico home defeat, operating in Galaxy's midfield trio alongside Edwin Cerrillo and Elijah Wynder but unable to generate the attacking impact that has defined his best performances this season. He finished with for shots (one on target) and two chances created but was limited against a LAFC midfield that controlled the tempo throughout. Sanabria has two goals and one assist in MLS this season and the Galaxy will need a sharper contribution from their 22-year-old playmaker as they attempt to stay within reach of the Western Conference playoff line following the defeat.
