Duah has been signed to a contract extension guaranteed through the 2029/30 season, with an option for 2030/31, the team announced Thursday.
Analysis: Duah has been converted from a midfielder to a central defender, finding great consistency in the latter position throughout the last couple of campaigns. His solid defensive performance has earned him a place on the squad for a longer period as he aims to strengthen his status as a regular starter in upcoming competitions. He's currently settled as part of a back four, averaging a team-high 3.8 clearances per game.

Duah assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 win against FC Dallas.
Analysis: Duah set up Alejandro Alvarado's sublime goal in the 50th minute. Duah completed 84 passes and also made his contribution defensively with two blocks and two clearances. He did not have a lot to do defensively as San Diego dominated possession. He has started 16 of 17 games this campaign and this was his first goal contribution in the MLS.
