Gilberto Rivera

Signs first-team contract

Rivera signed a first-team contract with the Dynamo until June 2027 on Saturday. The deal also includes club options until the end of the 2028/29 MLS season.

Analysis: The 21-year-old midfielder originally joined the Dynamo after being selected with the 88th overall pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft out of San Jose State University. He has received four short-term loans to the Dynamo this season, but he still hasn't played. He adds depth in midfield but isn't expected to see a regular role anytime soon.
