Receives one match ban

Cannon received a yellow card in Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Austin that will suspend him for Saturday's clash against Montreal, according to the MLS.

Analysis: Cannon had recently scored the game winner in the win over Real Salt Lake, his second goal of the season, part of a run of seven straight starts. Kosi Thompson figures to replace him at right back for the upcoming match while Cannon serves his suspension.

Scores winner at home

Cannon scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake.

Analysis: Cannon scored the game-winner in the 58th minute with his second goal in the campaign. He had a quiet outing on offense, but made a season-high two interceptions to help on defense. That was his seventh start in a row and 10th in 12 overall appearances.

First goal of the season

Cannon scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-0 win against Sporting Kansas City.

Analysis: Cannon opened the scoring in Saturday's 2-0 win over Sporting KC, rising to power Youssef Maziz's corner kick into the net in the 65th minute for his first goal of the season as Colorado finally made their numerical advantage count following Kwaku Agyabeng's red card earlier in the first half. The right-back also registered two crosses, one chance created and four clearances across 90 minutes in a complete defensive and attacking display, and was also brought down in the area late on by Moises Mosquera, an incident that earned the Sporting KC defender a red card for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity.

On bench Wednesday

Cannon (ankle) is back as a substitute option for the midweek clash against Los Angeles FC.

Analysis: Cannon hasn't played since March 8 while recovering from his ankle issue, but he was a regular starter before that. The right-back will compete for playing time with Kosi Thompson and Keegan Rosenberry for the rest of the season. Prior to his absence, Cannon was involved mostly in defensive stats, tallying six clearances, four tackles and three interceptions across three appearances.
