Produces three goal contributions
Son scored one goal and assisted twice from four shots and five chances created in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Austin FC.
Analysis: Son recorded one goal and two assists from four shots while creating five chances across 78 minutes in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Austin FC. He set up both Denis Bouanga goals, first finding him alone in front in the 52nd minute before being credited with another assist after Brad Stuver's clearance struck him and fell to Bouanga for the second. Son then finished Jacob Shaffelburg's cross first time in the 72nd minute, giving him 12 league assists this season.
Back with LAFC after international break
Son has rejoined LAFC after completing his international commitments with South Korea during the September-October international window, putting him back in contention for the club's upcoming MLS matches.
Analysis: Son returns to the Black and Gold after representing South Korea, providing a major boost to LAFC's attacking options following the international break. The veteran forward has recorded six goals and 10 assists across 25 MLS appearances, including 23 starts, this season, establishing himself as a key contributor in the final third. With Denis Bouanga also returning from international duty, Son should resume his regular starting role and look to build on his productive campaign.
