Scores opener in draw
Joao Klauss scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus San Diego FC. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 46th minute.
Analysis: Klauss scored the early opener in the fourth minute with his ninth goal in the season, but it wasn't enough to earn the home win. The forward took the second-most shots for the Galaxy during the match. He also received his first yellow card in 14 appearances (10 starts), though.
Takes two shots in win
Klauss had two shots on goal, made three clearances and drew three fouls during Wednesday's 2-0 win over Portland.
Analysis: Klauss made his second start of the last three games and, despite not being able to extend his scoring streak, he had his moments here and even provided defensive help in set pieces when needed. The forward is still in search of rhythm since recovering from an injury that left him sidelined for almost five months but his eight goals over 13 league appearances this season are definitely a good indicator of what he can do at the peak of his powers.
