Immediate fixture in United's midfield
Tielemans has started all six of Manchester United's matches to open 2026/27, totaling 449 minutes with one assist.
Analysis: Tielemans has slotted straight into United's midfield since his move from Aston Villa in July, contributing one assist, nine chances created and 361 completed passes across his first six appearances, along with seven tackles and eight interceptions on the defensive side. He has missed no time to injury and remains an automatic starter under the current setup. During this international break, he captains Belgium for new head coach Mark van Bommel in UEFA Nations League matches against Italy and France, continuing in the armband role he has held since before this summer's World Cup, which ended in a quarterfinal exit for the Red Devils.
Adds assists in rout
Tielemans assisted once to go with zero corners and two chances created in Thursday's 4-0 victory versus Sabah FK.
Analysis: Tielemans provided one assist during Thursday's win while also creating a pair of chances. The midfielder didn't get involved on corners but was creative in open play and led the attack in transition. Tielemans has been good to start his career in Manchester and should continue to be a major part of the midfield.
