Scores against Fiorentina
Gilmour scored one goal to go with one shot (one on target), one tackle (one won) and one interception in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Fiorentina.
Analysis: Gilmour didn't amass stats but bagged a rare goal thanks to a well-executed scheme on a corner kick and a pretty volley. He had scored once in the previous two seasons combined. He's done decently while replacing Frank Anguissa and Scott McTominay (heart), although his contribution rarely shows up in the stat sheet. He has tallied two shots (one on target), two tackles (one won) and three blocks in four appearances (three starts).
Recovers from injury
Gilmour (knee) came off the bench in Sunday's friendly versus Celta Vigo.
Analysis: Gilmour needed some extra time to shake off a knee problem that forced him to miss the World Cup, sitting out a few pre-season games, but he'll be ready for the opener. He'll likely continue backing up Stanislav Lobotka as he has done since moving to Napoli. He scored once and tallied 10 shots (three on target), 14 tackles and 11 interceptions in 20 showings (nine starts) in 2025/2026.
