Sticks to defending against Torino
Ferguson recorded two tackles (one won), three clearances and one interception and drew two fouls in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Torino.
Analysis: Ferguson had different duties than in the previous rounds as the new manager tweaked the scheme, and he had less room to attack. It's not yet clear whether the choice is permanent. He has notched multiple tackles in every game so far, totaling 13 (seven won) and posting five key passes, four crosses (two accurate) and four interceptions over that span. Additionally, this was his third game in a row with at least one clearance (seven total).
Six corners in 3-0 loss
Ferguson recorded two shots (one on goal), six crosses (one accurate) and six corners in Wednesday's 3-0 defeat to Brazil.
Analysis: Ferguson took six corners and was able to complete one of these six crosses as Scotland lost 3-0 to Brazil. Scotland will hope that they have done enough to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams. The midfielder won two of his four tackles and also made two clearances. He conceded two fouls in the match but has finished the group stage without a yellow card despite making five fouls. One of his corners ended in a great header that required a strong save from Alisson.
