Ruled out for around a month
Olmo (adductor) is expected to miss around a month after tests confirmed a left adductor muscle injury sustained during Tuesday's 4-2 Champions League defeat against Paris Saint-Germain, according to the club.
Analysis: Olmo was forced off before the half-hour mark against PSG after suffering an injury following a collision with an opponent, with Fermin Lopez replacing him in midfield. Subsequent medical examinations confirmed damage to his left adductor, ruling him out for approximately four weeks and adding to Barcelona's growing injury concerns. The Spanish international will miss Sunday's La Liga clash against Real Madrid and several upcoming fixtures, with Fermin likely to benefit from increased playing time in his absence. Olmo will aim to return after the November international break, depending on how his recovery progresses.
Injured Tuesday
Olmo was brought off with an apparent injury during Tuesday's trip to PSG, after which manager Hansi Flick said "He took that knock, and afterwards he felt something else. We have to wait," Pablo Sanchez of El Desmarque reports.
Analysis: Olmo made it less than half an hour before being forced off with an apparent injury. He was replaced by Fermin Lopez in the squad and seemed to be in some sort of muscular discomfort. Injuries have plagued Olmo throughout his career, so another soft-tissue injury could lead to a stint on the sideline as he is eased back, though that is uncertain until he gets scanned for the severity.
