Analysis: Barlow made his fourth consecutive start Sunday and put together another solid performance. While he failed to extend his goalscoring streak to four games, he tied season highs in shots and shots on target. He was replaced in the 59th minute by Kenji Mboma Dem.
Scores on lone shot
Barlow scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Wednesday's 3-2 defeat against New England Revolution. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 44th minute.
Analysis: Barlow took just a single shot during Wednesday's loss and scored it. That's a nice, efficient showing for the forward, but the volume is disappointing. The forward just couldn't get actively involved in the game out side of his goal. While that is clearly his main job, he struggled for any sort of baseline beyond that goal.
Another goal, adds assist
Barlow scored one goal and assisted once from four shots and two chances created in Saturday's 3-1 win against Atlanta United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 94th minute.
Analysis: Barlow was handed the start for Cincinnati once again after a successful start in their last match, a good call by the Cincinnati staff after he scored in the 84th minute to recapture the lead and earn a second straight match with a goal. However, this was not all, as earlier in the match, he would earn an assist when finding Kevin Denkey in the 52nd minute. Barlow now has eight goals and three assists this season, a solid total for playing in more of a rotational role with his 10 starts in 27 appearances.

Barlow scored one goal to go with five shots (three on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 loss versus CF Montreal.
Analysis: Barlow put up plenty of shots, and was able to get a goal in his return to the starting lineup. However, the forward did not do much else within the offense. He has a good chance to keep up his scoring against Atlanta United, a side that has given up 45 goals on the season.
Assists on Saturday
Barlow assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Charlotte FC.
Analysis: Barlow set up Pavel Bucha in the second minute and managed to create two chances in the game. Barlow made 22 passes and recorded two tackles, one interception and one clearance. This was just his eighth start of the campaign and he has now accumulated eight goal contributions.

Barlow had three shots (two on goal) in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Seattle Sounders FC.
Analysis: Barlow received another opportunity up front but had minimal impact on Cincinnati's attack before making way for Ayoub Jabbari. The forward failed to put his lone attempt on target, and that kind of production makes it hard to justify keeping him in the XI, both in fantasy and real life. With Kevin Denkey also available, don't be surprised if Barlow moves to the bench when Cincinnati takes on Nashville SC on Saturday.

Analysis: Barlow subbed on in the second half and played only 20 minutes, but scored his sixth goal in the season and logged his first assist to help Cincinnati earn the comeback win at home. The forward logged his ninth appearance off bench in a row and now has 18 overall, with five starts.

Analysis: Barlow came off the bench and capped the home side's scoring with a one-touch finish in stoppage time Saturday. The striker now has three goals across his last 52 minutes of league action and is averaging a goal every 115 minutes this season. Those numbers have strengthened his case as a valuable depth option capable of complementing or replacing starter Kevin Denkey when needed.

Analysis: Barlow came on at halftime in Saturday's 3-3 draw at Snapdragon Stadium and delivered the most impactful individual performance of the match, first converting Evander's precise corner in the second half to give his side a 2-1 lead, before equalizing in stoppage time at 3-3 after latching onto Ayoub Jabbari's pass and rifling a finish into the net to deny San Diego a win. The American forward operates as an aggressive, physical target striker off the bench who thrives on service into the box and has built a reputation for decisive late contributions in manager Pat Noonan's system. Barlow has now scored four goals across 14 MLS appearances this season.
