Junqua was placed in concussion protocol, forcing him to miss at least the upcoming matchup against Los Angeles FC, the MLS announced Friday.
Analysis: Junqua's forced exclusion from the match squad comes after he made two consecutive starts and provided an assist in that span. The central man has been contributing to RSL's defense, and the concussion protocol listing requires completing the mandatory return-to-play steps before the club can field him again. This blow adds to the simultaneous loss of Justen Glad to a groin injury, but RSL holds decent depth as Philip Quinton (groin) aims to resume action while Lukas Engel and Kobi Henry offer further choices to fill in the back line.

Analysis: Junqua was able to make his limited attacking moments count, and he got an assist on Real Salt Lake's lone goal. The defender should be able to venture into the attacking third more against Colorado Rapids, a side which has struggled to score of late and did just concede three goals in their last match.
