Breaks through Revolution defense

Taylor scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 2-1 victory over New England Revolution.

Analysis: Since the Galaxy first signed Taylor, he has been a frequent fixture in their team, starting out on one of both flanks five times across eight appearances. Shots had not been falling for the midfielder, who has not logged multiple attempts in any of the eight games, but he finally broke through with his third shot on goal post-signing.

Signs with LA Galaxy as free agent

Taylor has signed with the LA Galaxy as a free agent through the end of the 2026 season, with an option to extend through December 31, 2027, the club announced.

Analysis: Taylor arrives after spells with Austin FC and Inter Miami, moving to Austin midway through last season and recording one goal and one assist in 24 appearances there. He spent over three seasons in Miami, making 116 appearances across all competitions with 18 goals and 18 assists, and helped the club win the Leagues Cup and the MLS Supporters' Shield. Before his move to MLS, the Finnish forward had productive stints in Finland, Sweden, and Norway, highlighted by 14 goals and 16 assists in 60 appearances for SK Brann. He has earned 34 caps for Finland with two goals and three assists, and represented his country at UEFA EURO 2020. General manager Will Kuntz said Taylor brings versatility and MLS experience to the Galaxy's locker room.
